– Was introduced to the Skeptic community through NECSS.
– Now is the co-host of 'Rationally Speaking' with Massimo.
– Through funding she, and some others co-founded CFAR to promote rationality.
– She has spoken about how her parents raised her and how it lead her to become so rational.
– She and here brother have done some YouTube videos about how their parents raised them to be critical thinkers.
– Jesse Galef is her brother, another important figure in critical thought who works with SSA.
– No, Atheism is NOT a religion, nor do they eat babies.
– She was a statistics major in school, a little attended major in college.
– Her cool video about Bayes' rule, Derek used to do AI programming which involved a lot of bayesian network use.
– The Bayes networks look like big, satisfying, flow charts.
– CFAR came about when Julia, and others decided that there needed to be a way to train people to become more rational.
– Julia attributes some of the success of CFAR to the atmosphere of the San Francisco Bay Area.

– In the book 'Spocks World' it shows that Vulcans are NOT rational and train themselves to battle against their irrationality.
