Ancestor climbed the amazon.com charts and topped out at number 7. Scott had his "ah ha" moment on finding skepticsm through Skepticality. The 1976 version of King Kong inspired Scott to write giant monster stories. Researching applicable science is a big portion of Scott's writing process. Surprisingly there can be too much science in your Sci-Fi. (..but maybe not for us) Podcasting gave Scott an outlet for his novel when publishing wasn't possible. Earthcore was the first podcast only novel. Scott is a part of the podshow family, his podcasts air on their network first. When you read something outloud to record a podcast, editing naturally occurs. Listener feedback is now part of Scott's editing process. Publishers aren't there yet. But they will be soon. Scott's podcast marketing campaign for Ancestor was revolutionary, and successful. Publishing companies wanted to know how he did it. More podcast authors will likely follow suit. Scott tells Skeptics why they might appreciate his work. No way out via crazy magic, and the science is there. Popular sci-fi horror author Lincoln Child endorsed Scott's work. Scott was in talks with the Sci-Fi channel at one point. Scott's podiobook The Rookie has an enthusiastic fan base. The Nocturnal is Scott's current project and deals heavily with Evolutionary Theory. Scott is attending BayCon Memorial Day weekend. Like last year, Scott will be at Dragon*Con, Labor Day weekend.
